This Whip-poor-will was a delightful find for Sarah Metcalfe at Beaver Island SP on the 2nd. This is a new species for the park life list and a rare find during migration, probably due to the amazing cryptic patterning of the birds’ feathers.

This male Summer Tanager was an excellent find for Cassandra Kamery at Forest Lawn Cemetery on the 12th. As with most SUTA records, this is a 2nd year male sporting blotchy plumage.
