This female-type Orchard Oriole was a nice find by VerHague at the Dunkirk Airport on the 8th. This species departs very early from the region and most should be points south by mid-month.

Josh Ketry found this Olive-sided Flycatcher at Woodlawn Beach SP on the 18th. Several observers were able to catch up with this rare but regular migrant throughout the day, including Sue Barth, who took this photo.

During a heavy rain event in the south towns on the 18th, Kyle Brock found an amazing 7 Black Terns on Red House Lake, Allegany SP. These birds constitute one of only a handful of records for Cattaraugus County.
