On the 8th, Shelley Seidman found and photographed this male Barrow’s Goldeneye at Erie Basin Marina. This record currently constitutes the only record for Erie County on eBird!

Spring is just around the corner. Bald Eagles have begun nesting by February. This pair was photographed by Kathy Tucker on the 9th in Fort Erie.

Not an easy species to come by during the winter months; especially this year with the extended cold temperatures! This drake Pintail was captured beautifully by Ryan Griffiths on the 8th at Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario.

With very few reports of ANY winter finches this year, a Pine Siskin was a nice find for Tom Riley at his home feeders on the 8th near Derby, NY.
