Sue Barth captured this spectacular image of a Ruffed Grouse on the 23rd in southern Erie County. This species has a very limited distribution in the county.

A trio of Sanderlings on the 6th at the terminus of the Bird Island Pier. The end of the pier has a small gravel bar that attracts shorebirds...not a lot of habitat out there!
